ALTA ENDORSEMENTS - 82 - SAMPLES AND DESCRIPTIONS MORTGAGE MODIFICATION – FORM 11 ALTA Endorsement — Form 11 is available only for loan policies. It insures against loss sustained by reason of the invalidity or unenforceability of the Insured Mortgage as a result of a post-policy modification of the Insured Mortgage. It also insures the priority of the Insured Mortgage over defects, liens or encumbrances occurring after the effective date of the policy and before the Date of Endorsement. To the extent that any such matters have arisen after the Date of Policy and prior to the Date of Endorsement, they should be raised specifically in the endorsement. As is the case with all other endorsements, this endorsement does not extend the Date of Policy for purposes other than as stated, that is, the endorsement does not bring forward coverages of the policy or any other endorsements that are a part of the policy.
